Current Moscow Time (MSK)
Russia’s capital runs on a fixed UTC+3 offset, year-round. The country abandoned daylight saving time in October 2014, so clocks stay put every March and October. London, Paris, and New York still shift, which means the gap between Moscow and those cities widens or shrinks twice a year while Moscow holds steady.
On 15 January 2026, New York is 8 hours behind Moscow and London is 3 hours behind. By 15 July 2026, New York sits 7 hours behind and London just 2 hours behind. Dubai stays 1 hour ahead of Moscow all year. Mumbai stays 2.5 hours ahead. For the exact difference right now, use the Moscow time zone page or a time zone converter.

How to Check Local Time in Any Russian City
Do not assume the whole country runs on Moscow time. A call scheduled for 10:00 MSK is 17:00 in Vladivostok. That is after the end of the business day in the Far East.
For European Russia west of the Urals, use MSK (UTC+3). This covers Moscow, Saint Petersburg, Kazan, Nizhny Novgorod, and most of the western half of the country. For cities in the Urals and Siberia, add the MSK offset. Yekaterinburg is MSK+2. Krasnoyarsk is MSK+4. For the Far East, Vladivostok is MSK+7. Kamchatka is MSK+9.
The safest method is to look up the IANA zone for the specific city (for example, Asia/Vladivostok) and compare it to Europe/Moscow.
Understanding MSK Offsets Across the Country
Kaliningrad is the only region that runs one hour behind Moscow (MSK, 1). Kamchatka runs nine hours ahead of Moscow (MSK+9).
Because Russia does not observe DST, these offsets are stable. The only variable is the difference between Moscow and countries that do change their clocks. Scheduling a meeting from London in July? The MSK difference is 2 hours, not 3. Scheduling from New York in January? The MSK difference is 8 hours, not 7.
Anyone scheduling a recurring video call or deadline with a team in Vladivostok, Magadan, or Kamchatka should ignore the default advice to “use Moscow time.” That shortcut will make you miss the Far East business window by 7 to 9 hours. Check the local time for that specific city every time you set a meeting.
